Stone Sealing and Ceramic Coating Enquiries

Bamby Stone provides professional penetrating stone sealing for compatible surfaces and welcomes enquiries about ceramic surface coatings. The right approach depends on the stone, finish, absorbency, existing treatments and intended use.

Ceramic coating is currently available by enquiry only. The coating system, suitability, preparation, expected performance, care requirements and price will be confirmed in writing before any booking or payment. A coating enquiry does not reserve an application date.

Penetrating Stone Sealing

A suitable penetrating sealer helps reduce the absorption of water, oil and other staining substances into absorbent stone. The product is selected for the particular surface and applied according to its manufacturer’s instructions. Sealing does not make stone stain-proof, scratch-proof, etch-proof or heat-proof, and normal care remains necessary.

Ceramic Surface Coating

Compatibility, appearance, durability, resistance to spills, return-to-use times and any product warranty depend on the selected system. These details are confirmed for your project, not assumed for every stone. We do not promise protection against acidic spills, scratches or heat.

Listing an application does not confirm that every stone or treatment is suitable. Existing sealers, coatings, waxes, contamination, damage or etching may require further assessment or preparation. Sealing and coating are not stone repairs.

Can Sealing and Coating Be Used Together?

Only where compatibility is confirmed for the particular stone and products. We assess existing treatments and the manufacturer’s requirements before recommending a combined system. Do not purchase two treatments on the assumption that they can be layered.

Sealing Service and Pricing

Penetrating stone sealing: $100 + GST per m². Order from 1 m².

The sealing service includes standard surface preparation, application, standard travel time and aftercare guidance. The treated area, surface condition, travel arrangements and any additional preparation are confirmed before scheduling. Choose the sealing option and enter the area in square metres. Each quantity unit represents 1 m². Contact us if you need help confirming suitability or the area to be treated.

Ceramic coating: enquiry and quotation only. The sealing price does not apply to ceramic coating.

Assessment and Application

1. Assess: confirm the stone, finish, condition, existing treatments and intended use.
2. Agree the scope: confirm the selected product, preparation, treated area, price and timing before booking.
3. Prepare and apply: carry out the agreed treatment using the selected manufacturer’s instructions.
4. Handover: provide the relevant curing, return-to-use and ongoing care instructions.

Sealing Products

Depending on the assessed surface, our penetrating sealing service may use a suitable product from the professional Lithofin range. These are penetrating sealers, not ceramic coating products:

• Lithofin NANOTOP Sealer
• Lithofin FVE Sealer

Any proposed coating will be confirmed only after the relevant manufacturer documentation, training, supply authorisation and application requirements have been addressed.

Aftercare

Follow the written instructions for your stone and selected treatment. Curing and return-to-use times vary. Wipe spills promptly, use trivets and avoid abrasive cleaning. Cleaning products must be compatible with both the stone and the treatment.
