The $299 design and handling fee applies when Bamby Stone adds a custom stone basin, undermount-style sink or wall-hung vanity to an existing project, or produces it as a standalone item. It covers the additional design work, detailing, coordination and in-house CNC preparation. Stone or product costs and standard production and installation charges are separate, together with any required third-party metal support.

Custom Stone Sinks and Wall-Hung Vanities
Bamby Stone can create a custom stone basin, undermount-style sink or wall-hung vanity for a kitchen, bathroom or laundry. It can be added to an existing stone project or ordered as a standalone custom item.
What the $299 Fee Covers
The $299 design and handling fee covers the extra design input, detailing, coordination, handling and in-house CNC preparation required for a custom sink or vanity. It is added on top of the normal stone or product, production and installation costs.
How the Total Cost Works
- Using your existing project slab: If enough suitable material remains in the slab already allocated to your project, there is no extra slab cost for the custom pieces. The $299 fee and standard production and installation charges still apply.
- Additional stone: If the project slab does not contain enough suitable material, the required stone or product is charged separately.
- Standalone custom item: The stone or product, $299 fee, standard production and standard installation costs are calculated separately.
- Metal support or specialist work: A wall-hung vanity may need a purpose-made metal frame. Bamby Stone will obtain a third-party quotation and add the confirmed cost to the project invoice.
Sink or Wall-Hung Vanity
An undermount-style sink sits beneath the stone surface or forms part of the surrounding stonework. A wall-hung vanity is a larger custom feature fixed to the wall and may need additional structural support.
Suitable Materials
Engineered stone is not recommended because heat and hot water may affect its performance. Suitable natural stone, porcelain or sintered material will generally be preferred. Not every natural stone is appropriate, so Bamby Stone will assess the selected material before proceeding.
