📌 IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

This page is for stone installation bookings.

Installation should only be booked after Bamby Stone has invited you to book and your project is ready for installation.

Bookings made before receiving an official invitation from Bamby Stone may be cancelled.

If your preferred time is not shown, that time has already been booked or is not available.

Installations are booked for a full-day attendance window between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Our crew may arrive at any time within this window depending on the day’s schedule. A morning arrival is not guaranteed unless confirmed by Bamby Stone in writing.

All installation bookings, attendance, site readiness, completion, variations, delays, cancellations, and project communications are subject to Bamby Stone Terms and Conditions:

✅ YOUR SITE IS READY WHEN
  • Cabinetry is fully installed, fixed, level, aligned, structurally suitable, and ready.
  • Appliances, sinks, cooktops, taps, and relevant specifications are on-site, positioned, or already confirmed.
  • The installation area is clear, safe, accessible, and suitable for heavy lifting and large stone pieces.
  • No other trades are working in the stone installation area during our visit.
  • Any required cabinet corrections, supports, brackets, steel supports, levelling, or site preparation have been completed.
  • Existing materials, obstructions, personal items, rubbish, fragile items, and loose appliances have been removed from the work area.
  • Backlit stone support structures, if applicable, are flat, level, stable, and ready before our crew arrives.
❌ YOUR SITE IS NOT READY IF
  • Cabinetry is incomplete, moving, unsupported, unlevel, misaligned, or not structurally suitable.
  • Appliances, sinks, cooktops, tapware, or required specifications are missing or not positioned.
  • Other trades are working in the installation area or preventing safe installation.
  • Access is unsafe, obstructed, too narrow, restricted, or unsuitable for stone handling.
  • Required supports, brackets, steel, base structures, or site preparation are missing or incomplete.
  • Wall areas, splashback areas, vertical panel areas, or installation zones are obstructed.

If the site is not ready, Bamby Stone may stop, cancel, or reschedule the installation and additional charges may apply.

💸 CANCELLATION OR RESCHEDULING

Installation dates are reserved specifically for your project. Labour, equipment, transport, and scheduling resources are allocated based on your confirmed booking.

  • If you cancel or reschedule within 7 days of your confirmed installation date, 50% of the quoted Installation Fee may be charged.
  • If cancellation occurs within 48 hours of installation, 100% of the quoted Installation Fee may be charged.
  • If special handling, cranes, hoists, transport, accommodation, or subcontractors have been arranged, those costs may remain payable.
🚫 SITE NOT READY OR INSTALLATION PREVENTED AFTER ATTENDANCE

If Bamby Stone attends site and installation cannot proceed or cannot be completed due to site readiness, access, safety, cabinetry, obstruction, or third-party issues, the installation may be treated as aborted due to client/site default.

  • 100% of the quoted Installation Fee may become payable.
  • A new installation booking may require payment of an additional Installation Fee.
  • Any delay may affect project timing and future availability.
⚠️ CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS – SPLASHBACKS, WALL CLADDING & VERTICAL PANELS

All splashback, wall cladding, upstand, and vertical stone areas must be completely clear within the installation zone before our crew arrives.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • LED strip lights or aluminium channels under overhead cabinets.
  • Rangehood trims, flues, covers, or decorative pieces reducing clearance.
  • Power points, electrical fittings, or plumbing fixtures not recessed or obstructing stone placement.
  • Decorative trims, brackets, protruding fixtures, or cabinetry components within the stone area.

Cabinet doors do not need to be removed unless they prevent safe installation.

Bamby Stone does not remove or modify cabinetry, lighting, electrical components, plumbing, gas, appliances, glass splashbacks, wall finishes, or third-party fixtures unless agreed in writing.

🧽 SPLASHBACKS, WALL TILES & PAINTING

Splashbacks, wall tiles, wall coverings, and painting should generally be completed after stone installation, unless Bamby Stone has confirmed otherwise in writing.

If these works are completed before installation, Bamby Stone is not responsible for fitting issues, access issues, markings, or damage caused by the early completion of those third-party finishes.

🛠 CABINETRY, SURFACES & MINOR TOUCH-UPS

Stone installation may require manoeuvring heavy panels through tight spaces and between cabinetry, walls, floors, doors, and surrounding surfaces.

Minor cosmetic scuffs, pressure marks, or light surface marks may occur despite reasonable care, particularly where clearances are minimal, cabinetry is delicate, finishes are weak, or access is restricted.

Where Bamby Stone is responsible for minor cosmetic marking that is reasonably repairable, the remedy is generally limited to touch-up, polishing, or local repair.

We recommend arranging matching touch-up paint or finish details from your cabinet maker before installation.

🔦 BACKLIGHTING, LARGE PANELS & SPECIAL HANDLING
  • For backlit stone projects, the client must ensure the required flat, level, stable base or support structure is ready before installation.
  • Bamby Stone does not supply or build the structural base for backlighting unless specifically agreed in writing.
  • Large panels may require on-site joins depending on slab size, site access, handling, safety, and installation conditions.
  • Upper-level installations, difficult access, cranes, hoists, restricted access, after-hours work, travel, accommodation, parking, permits, traffic control, or extra labour may incur additional charges.
🪨 NATURAL STONE, HANDLING & REPAIRS

Natural stone may contain veining, pitting, fissures, pores, tonal movement, colour variation, crystal structure, fossilisation, surface movement, fill, resin, mesh backing, and naturally occurring irregularities. These are not defects.

Where minor hairline cracks, chips, or handling-related issues occur and are reasonably repairable, Bamby Stone may repair them professionally where appropriate. Replacement will only be considered where the piece is not reasonably repairable or not fit for its intended purpose.

🔎 COMPLETION INSPECTION

A site supervisor, builder, decision-maker, or authorised representative should be present to inspect the completed installation while our crew remains on site.

  • Visible or reasonably inspectable concerns should be raised before our crew leaves.
  • Completion may be documented by photo evidence, video evidence, installation notes, customer/site contact comments, installation reports, or internal review records.
  • If no representative is present, the installation may be documented and treated as accepted for visible and reasonably inspectable matters once our crew departs, subject to any non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
