🔌 What Products Are Needed for a Complete Backlight System?

To complete your backlight setup, you’ll need the following components, all available from our Parts Collection:

• LED RGB+CCT Flexible Panels – specially made for stone applications
• Fan-less Power Supplies – eliminate noise and overheating issues
• Amplifiers – required when using more than 10 panels
• RGB Controllers – control colours, brightness, and effects via remote or mobile app

• Panels must be installed edge-to-edge with no gaps for smooth, even lighting.
• No extra space is needed between panels and stone. Built-in spacers allow direct placement.
• Cabinetry must be completely flat and ready before installation. Bamby Stone does not supply or install base structures.
• We do not carry out removal work. Any splashbacks or existing surfaces must be removed prior to our attendance.

What is the required distance between LED panels?
Panels must be installed flush with no gaps. Gaps cause shadows or uneven lighting.

How much space should I leave between the stone and the panels?
None. The stone rests directly on the panel thanks to built-in spacers.

What’s the distance between the spacers and is it strong enough to support the stone?
The total height including spacers is 9 mm. When the stone sits directly on the panels, they can hold up to 2 tonnes.

Do I need anything else besides the panels?
Yes. You will need Power Supply Units, an RGB Controller, and Amplifiers for larger setups.

Does Bamby Stone offer installation?
Yes, within Queensland and other states. Additional travel and accommodation costs may apply. You are also welcome to use your own electrician.

How much is installation?
$24.00 + GST per panel, including power supply setup, controller connection, and full wiring.

Can you help calculate what I need?
Absolutely. Send us your layout or drawings and we will prepare a custom quote.

Do I need to prepare anything before installation?
Yes. The base must be completely flat and structurally ready. This is the responsibility of your builder or cabinetmaker.

Do I need a backing board under the panels?
Only if the surface is hollow, like cabinetry. Solid surfaces such as plasterboard, rendered walls or FC sheet do not require any backing.

Would the panels be accessible for maintenance if sandwiched between stone or substrate?

• Vertical surfaces: Yes. Panels can be slid out if installed on a flat backing.

• Horizontal surfaces: Access requires removing the stone first since it sits directly on the panels.

Can Bamby Stone remove splashbacks or cabinetry?
No. All demolition or removal work must be completed before our team arrives.
